Peens the Silky Terrier

Chemotherapy Dog, Handmade Tasmanian Dog Collars, Peens & Co., Tasmanian Silky Terrier
About This Project

Peens is a gorgeous 11 year old silky terrier, lovingly parented by his Mum Trini, and Dad Sam.  Life for him hasn’t been easy the last couple of years.

In November 2018 Peens had a tumour removed from his right wrist. Since then he has had that leg amputated and has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 soft tissue sarcoma. He had his first round of chemotherapy in January 2019, followed by another eighteen weeks of treatment.

In order to support Peens through his treatment, Trini started making handmade Tasmanian Leather dog collars to sell to friends and family. The collars have been so popular that Peens now has his own website.

I was over the moon when Trini, approached me to capture some cute portraits!

The love between these two is inspirational – Peens, we wish you lots more happy moments with your loving “pawrents”  xoxo
