About This Project

The beautiful down to earth couple Felicity and Scott celebrated their wedding with close family and friends in an intimate ceremony in their back yard at Geeveston in Tasmania’s picturesque Huon Valley.

When it started to rain on the morning of the wedding Scott calmly moved the ceremony from the floral feature wall he’d created into the reception marquee where the tables were decorated with hand pained vases, home grown flowers, and Scott’s own home crafted light features.

When the Wedding Car broke down on the way to pick up the bride Felicity calmly hiked down the steep gravel driveway of her parents beautiful cedar cottage to the waiting driver who was busy with jumper leads doing everything he could to get a spark.  Miranda and Eliza, Flick’s awesome sisters, mucked in to push the broken down Mustang off the street and into a safe place to get it going.

The ceremony started only a fraction late and it was plain sailing from there on with a sweet and personalised ceremony performed by Jill Harper Celebrant.  The fire pit in the yard provided a warm welcome for the visiting Queenslanders, Mr Whippy made a surprise appearance and there were sherbet soft serve cones all ’round.

During the bridal photoshoot at the local park, an elderly lady who passed while walking her dog, told the couple that she had been married on this very day 45 years before, that it had rained, and that her wedding car had broken down, and that they were happier now than they’ve ever been!

If the way this beautiful couple coped with all the curve balls hurled at them on their wedding day is the way they approach their marriage they are going to have a very long and very happy life together.  Congratulations Flick and Scott, and thankyou for having me. xxx
